Solar Sailing VI

Solar Sailing was created to lead the change in how we utilize clean power for boats.

As natives of the US Virgin Islands who permanently live on ST. Thomas, we strive to preserve the beauty of the Islands for all generations to come.

By conserving resources alongside clean, renewable energy, we can enjoy all the islands have to offer and leave a positive impact on our oceans.

Our expertise is in solar energy, as we have owned and operated a solar company in southern California for over a decade. We know firsthand the benefits of solar sustainability and want to continue that passion on the water without compromising on comfort or style.

We don’t just stop at solar; we reduce our plastic waste by using a water filtration system aboard our vessel and are avid recyclers. We hope others follow our lead for cleaner oceans and sail with purpose.

Waymon Arnold

Waymon Arnold has been a long-time resident of the Virgin Islands. His kids were born here. Grew up here. Boated here. But sailing? Never. Not Waymon, or his wife, or his kids. “I never learned to sail that first go around when I lived here the first time.” Waymon explained. “We were on boats all…
